As the **Electric Motor Systems Technician**, you will work as part of our shop team who are responsible for the diagnosis and repair of electric motors brought in for servicing. In this role your **primary job responsibilities** will be:

- Dismantle electric motors and equipment brought in for servicing, repair or modification
- Diagnose problems and repair of items brought in for servicing or repair
- Perform repair work on jobs including but not limited to:

- Vibration analysis
- Dynamic balancing
- Diagnostic winding testing
- General mechanical work
- Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures

**You will bring**:

- Completion of 3rd or 4th year Journeyman Electric Motor Systems Technician preferred
- Completion of 3rd or 4th year Journeyman Automechanic or Millwright may be considered
- Knowledge of standard methods, materials, tools and equipment used in manufacturing, maintenance or related shop environment
- Ability to safely and properly use the necessary hand and power tools for work assignments
- Ability to understand and execute verbal and written instructions
- Ability to maintain simple records including basic computer skills to perform data entry into shop management software
- Good attention to detail and a desire to perform high-quality work
- Enjoy finding solutions to difficult problems
- Interest in keeping up with technological changes
- Friendly attitude and willingness to help others
- Strong ability work with machines and tools with excellent hand-eye coordination
- Physical endurance and strength to perform required duties including lifting heavy items, more than 25 kilograms
