**Overview**
We’re looking for a **dedicated, detail-oriented Food Packaging Assistant** to join our team on a **casual, on-call basis**. You’ll play a key role in ensuring our food products are precisely portioned, safely packaged, and ready for distribution. If you're organized, reliable, and enjoy working with your hands in a fast-paced environment, we’d love to hear from you.

**What You’ll Do**
- Portion and assemble food products to exact weight and quality standards
- Package and label finished goods, ensuring accuracy and lot traceability
- Operate hand tools and light machinery (e.g. heat sealers, scales, date coders) safely and efficiently
- Maintain a clean and sanitary workspace in accordance with appropriate health standards
- Collaborate with teammates to meet daily output goals and adapt to shifting priorities
- Conduct quality checks and report issues immediately
- Track packaging materials and notify leads when inventory is low
- Support other operational tasks as needed

**Skills, Qualifications, and Experience**
- Basic English and ability to read and follow instructions
- Good communication skills and a team player attitude
- Experience handling food in a kitchen or manufacturing environment (1 year preferred)
- Physically able to stand, bend, lift (up to 8 kg), and move intermittently during shifts
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced production setting
- Valid Food Safe Level 1 certification (or willingness to obtain—company reimbursed with conditions)
- Must be 15 years of age or older at the start of employment
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada (Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or protected refugee under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act, etc.)
- Clear criminal record check (paid by employer)
- Two professional reference required
- Flexible availability, including potential weekend shifts

**Compensation**
- $18-$20 per hour, based on experience

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
