**Overview**

**Responsibilities**
- Perform routine maintenance tasks including plumbing repairs, electrical work, and general building upkeep.
- Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify issues and perform preventative maintenance.
- Respond to maintenance requests from residents in a timely manner.
- Maintain and repair common areas, including recreational facilities and outdoor spaces.
- Ensure all safety and health regulations are followed during maintenance operations.
- Assist with seasonal maintenance tasks such as snow removal and landscaping.
- Collaborate with facility management to develop and implement a maintenance schedule.
- Maintain an inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment, ensuring tools are in good working condition.
- Read and interpret schematics to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues.
- Fabricate parts as needed using welding techniques and other fabrication methods.
- Supervise maintenance staff, providing guidance and leadership to ensure high-quality work standards.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities, identifying areas for improvement or repair.
- Document all maintenance activities accurately for compliance and reporting purposes.

**Skills**
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in maintenance tasks.
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical or vocational training is a plus.
- Previous experience in maintenance or a similar role, preferably in a residential or senior living environment.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical repairs, and general carpentry.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various physical conditions.
- Must pass a background check as required by facility regulations.

- Welding skills are highly desirable for fabricating parts or making repairs.
- Familiarity with logic controllers is essential for troubleshooting automated systems.
- Leadership qualities with experience in supervising teams effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, including proficiency in English, to interact with team members and management.
