**Assistant Controller**

Finance isn’t just about the numbers, it’s about supporting the entire business.

We are looking for a reliable Assistant Controller to assist in preparing statements that follow all regulatory and accounting guidelines under the supervision of a controller. You will be responsible for identifying and preventing discrepancies and helping set up control systems.

An effective assistant controller has good knowledge of accounting principles. You must be organized professionals with a great eye for detail. You must be reliable and able to carry out tasks autonomously and collaboratively.

The goal is to contribute to keep the accounting and financial processes of the company up to standard and ensure accurate financial reporting and control. You will report to a financial Controller.
- Full time - permanent
- 40hours/week
- In office - Monday to Friday
- Wage - negotiable
- Position supports various companies under Flite Line

**Responsibilities**
- Critical thinking and, in turn, confident decision-making with the ability to implement internal policies and processes
- Strong numeracy skills, particularly concerning reporting results, statements, budgeting, billing, taxes, audits and accounting math
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (including great coaching, training, and management skills)
- Act as a resource person for the management team, leadership experience an asset
- In-depth knowledge of accounting software and systems, QuickBooks knowledge is preferred
- Ability to consistently meet deadlines, is adaptable and flexible
- Capable of interpreting and analyzing large volumes of financial data and resolve inaccuracies or imbalances
- Manage numerous priorities at once and be able to multi-task effectively
- Solid knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- Familiar with some aspects of payroll
- Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance or relevant field is preferred
- Have 5 to 7 years of relevant experience

- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
