**Full-Time Permanent**
**Hourly Wage: $34.22 to $43.59 (commensurate with experience)**
The Kinesiologist will provide care to our patients in the areas of Clinical and Occupational Health in accordance with practice standards. The Kinesiologist will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide safe and effective therapeutic exercise treatment and education for patients, while maintaining a level of independence. The Kinesiologist will assist in the development, provision, and evaluation of treatment provided in both individualized and group formats.
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Observe, analyze, and record patients’ participation, reactions, and progress made during treatment sessions; modify treatment programs as needed.
- Design and supervise exercise sessions, develop exercise prescriptions based on the results of a graded exercise test, and participate in emergency responses.
- Develop a treatment plan to meet the needs of patients and their families based on assessment, and patient goals.
- Provide initial and follow-up assessments, goal setting, and motivational support to patients and families regarding long-term behavioral modification.
- Document within an electronic charting system.
- Refer to other members of the interdisciplinary team, and participate in case conferences, team huddles, and team meetings.
- Participate in education and training specific to current, relevant federal and provincial health and safety legislation, standards and guidelines.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology
- Registered with the College of Kinesiologists of Ontario (in good standing) and have liability insurance.
- Valid CPR/AED and first aid certification
- Embraces and promotes a person-centered care approach
- Prior experience in a Physiotherapy/Rehabilitation setting is an asset
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work within an interdisciplinary team environment.
- Specific additional training in cardiac rehabilitation, exercise physiology, nutrition, participant counseling or other related health care activities considered an asset.
- Geriatric Care/Trainings an asset
- COVID-19 vaccination is mandatory (2 Doses)
