Equipment Operator

**Role**
- Reporting to the Field Area Manager, the role of Equipment Operator is to work throughout job sites on a variety of machinery including, but not limited to dozer, excavator, Lift Truck, High Reach and Screeners. The Equipment Operator is also responsible for conducting pre-operational inspection and notifying the management about equipment issues. _
**Responsibilities**
- When required, move fill and sand using a Backhoe
- Understand, communicate and ensure compliance with the safety regulations and Rising Edge Technologies’ safety policies and procedures, including pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Able to work safely around underground utilities and overhead power lines, as well as in high traffic or congested work areas.
- Be able to follow instructions from the Site Supervisor
- When required, operate heavy equipment with shear/bucket/pulverizing attachments
- Ensure that the necessary paperwork required for all units is available at all times
**Qualifications**
- Must have a class 5 license with a clean Drivers Abstract
- High School diploma required
- At least 3 years of experience working as an Equipment Operator is required
- Mechanically inclined and knowledge of maintaining equipment such as greasing and fueling is an asset
- Safety tickets including: CSTS, First Aid, WHMIS an asset
