**Job Overview**

Hours:
Monday 2:30pm - 7:30pm (min. of 2 per month)

Thursdays 8:00am-4:00pm

Saturday 8:45am-2:15pm (2 per month)

**Responsibilities**
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) while adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate patient records using ClearDent software.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Manage appointment scheduling, including coordinating with the dental receptionist for optimal patient flow.
- Sterilize instruments and maintain cleanliness of the treatment area in compliance with health regulations.
- Support orthodontic procedures as needed, including patient preparation and follow-up care.
- Work collaboratively with the team to provide excellent service in a pediatric setting when required.
- Utilize CAD technology for assisting in the creation of dental appliances.

**Qualifications**
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred, with a strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures.
- Familiarity with dental software systems.
- Some experience in orthodontics is an asset but not required.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for maintaining accurate records and managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and team members.
