**DESI BAR AND GRILL - Bartender**

**5. Key Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in a timely and professional manner.
- Suggest drink pairings with Indian and South Asian cuisine when appropriate.
- Engage with guests to create a positive and personalized bar experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, tools, and glassware.
- Handle cash and operate POS system efficiently and accurately.
- Follow all health, safety, and alcohol service regulations (e.g., Smart Serve).
- Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies.
- Assist in developing specialty cocktails, including Desi-inspired beverages (e.g., masala-infused cocktails, mango mojitos).
- Monitor guest intoxication levels and respond appropriately in line with responsible alcohol service guidelines.
- Collaborate with the kitchen and serving staff to ensure seamless service.

**6. Requirements & Certifications**:

- Reliable, punctual, and a team player
- Minimum 1 year of bartending experience preferred; experience in a high-volume or culturally themed restaurant is an asset.
- Knowledge of South Asian beverages, ingredients, and spices is an advantage.
- Smart Serve Certification (required)
- Food Handler Certification (required)
- Knowledge of Indian cuisine or willingness to learn
- Strong communication, multitasking, and sales skills
- Flexibility to work evenings/nights, weekends, and holidays
- Fluency in English; Punjabi or Hindi is a plus
