**Job Summary**

**Sunnyview Animal Care** is seeking a motivated, communicative, relationship-oriented, innovative veterinarian to join our three-DVM, privately owned practice in Bedford, Nova Scotia.

We offer a scheduled 35-37.5 hour work week, an annual salary of $100K to $130K, there are Pro-Sal or hourly pay options as well, 5 day work week, no on-call, 3 weeks vacation, health/dental benefits, licensing fees, $2,000 & 4 days off for annual CE. Our strengths include a well-trained, enthusiastic team, with state-of-the-art equipment/Idexx In-House Lab, DR Radiology, Digital Dental Radiology, CO2 Laser Surgery unit, & fantastic clients. Sunnyview’s team approach to veterinary care uses two-person examinations with 30-minute appointments, giving you the opportunity to focus on achieving the best outcomes for your patients

This schedule also provides ample ability to mentor newer graduates. You’ll stand side-by-side with & be supported by a team of experienced RVTs, VA’s, & Vet’s just as dedicated as you are

**Duties**
- Conduct thorough examinations of animals to assess their health status.
- Diagnose and treat illnesses, injuries, and other health-related issues in pets.
- Perform surgical procedures as needed, ensuring the highest standards of care.
- Administer vaccinations and medications as prescribed.
- Maintain accurate medical records for each patient.
- Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure efficient clinic operations.
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care, nutrition, and preventive health measures.
- Stay current with advancements in veterinary medicine and participate in continuing education opportunities.
- Manage laboratory tests and interpret results to guide treatment decisions.

**Qualifications**
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited veterinary school.
- Valid veterinary license to practice in the state.
- Strong clinical skills with experience in laboratory work preferred.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
- Compassionate approach towards animal care and welfare.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated on veterinary practices.
