**Location: Sites located in and around Edmonton, reporting into our Acheson office**

**Type: Salaried**

Kichton Contracting is seeking a motivated and adaptable individual to join our team. Kichton Contracting Ltd (KCL) has been in business since 1963 and is based out of Acheson, Alberta, Canada. KCL is classified as a medium-sized civil earthworks contractor. Our work ranges from residential earthworks, commercial site development, to industrial projects. Our services include grading design for all types of new commercial and industrial sites along with retrofitting existing sites to accommodate new site development.

**Roles and Responsibilities**:

- Conduct routine safety audits on all job sites and provide constructive feedback to the team
- Assist the investigation of accidents, incidents and near misses, determining their causes and implementing preventive measures
- Assist with developing, implementing, and monitoring comprehensive safety programs to prevent or correct unsafe environmental working conditions
- Deliver safety training and orientation programs for all employees, new or otherwise
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, provincial, and local safety and health regulations
- Communicate with external health and safety regulators and insurance companies on safety matters as needed
- Perform additional duties as required

**Qualifications and Competencies**:

- 1 year of experience in a similar position is an asset
- Good communication skills
- Positive attitude and adaptable demeanour
- Good organizational skills
- Able to use technology effectively
- Able to foster and maintain effective work relationships with key stakeholders
- Valid CSTS2020 certification
- Valid WHMIS2015 certification
- Has a Class 5 license and able to travel between sites and Head Office (Acheson)

**Work Schedule**:

- Monday to Friday
- 8 hour shifts
- Additional shifts as needed
