**Pay Grade**
- The salary for this position is based on administrative pay grade 11 (Minimum $92,139, Control Point $122,852, Maximum $135,137) plus benefits package. Salary will be determined commensurate with experience.

**Position Summary**
- Reporting to the CIO the Manager prepares and contributes to the IT strategic direction and provides operational leadership for the implementation and on-going support of business, web and Educational Technology services for the College. Services include Ellucian Colleague (student, human resources, payroll, finance), library, bookstore, College web sites, portals, enterprise content management, LMS and the various supporting information systems. The Manager uses a results-oriented approach to coordinate these broad and highly integrated systems, which are critical to the achievement of the College’s Strategic and Education Plans and strategic reporting needs.- The Manager is responsible for day-to-day operations of the college’s enterprise systems, ensuring that the systems and associated data are secure, accurate and reliable, and are maintained as appropriate. The Manager leads a team of systems analysts and a web developer and is responsible for implementing and maintaining a collaborative teamwork approach and a customer service focus in the support to the College community.

**Duties & Responsibilities**

**1.0**INFORMATION**TECHNOLOGY**LEADERSHIP**
1.2 The Manager uses a teamwork approach to direct the activities of the department, ensuring that staff and information technology are coordinated to achieve results outlined in the plan.
1.3 The Manager develops and implements coordination mechanisms to ensure effective planning and communication regarding changes to information technology.
1.4 Using a collaborative approach within the department and with the College community, the Manager is responsible for systems policies, business rules and other controls to ensure information security, as well as strategies and protocols to ensure that mission-critical technology systems remain operational.
1.5 The Manager is a source of expertise about information and education technologies for North Island College, providing advice to senior management in support of strategic, educational and operational goals.
1.6 The Manager leads and facilitates the implementation of new and innovative IT projects and services and participates in initiatives and projects originating from across the College community.
1.7 In consultation with the College community and in partnership with other College administration, the Manager contributes strategically to and implements web based development projects.

**2.0**APPLICATIONS**PLANNING**AND**OPERATIONS**
2.1 The Manager is responsible for project management for systems software and integration projects; planning and managing the operation of all enterprise software systems; and, planning and managing the implementation of new College-wide software systems and the decommissioning of legacy systems as necessary.
2.2 In partnership with the IT management team, the Manager is responsible for the operation of the technology infrastructure supporting enterprise software systems.
2.3 The Manager ensures that these systems are functional and effective, and that all services are delivered without interruption and meet the College’s business needs. The Manager ensures that after-hour emergencies are responded to in an appropriate time frame.
2.4 In partnership with the IT management team, the Manager ensures the integrity and security of computer systems and hardware.
2.5 The Manager monitors software system performance and plans for system enhancements to ensure acceptable service levels are achieved.
2.6 The Manager assists in the development of needs assessments and funding proposals to support the expansion and adoption of technology at the College.
