**THE OPPORTUNITY**
Venterra’s Property Finance team has been undergoing significant growth in its mandate and building lasting relationships with its business partners. The Property Finance team is uniquely positioned to provide support to the Asset Management, Operations, and Technical Service teams as well as partner with our Investor Relationships and Acquisitions departments. The team facilitates the dissemination of financial information to key business stakeholders to drive opportunities forward and create solutions to risks as they are identified.
In this role we are seeking a **Financial Analyst** within the Property Finance team with a high attention to detail and the ability to work independently while having a Team First mindset.
Critical to the role is the ability to demonstrate value as a team member that can execute assigned tasks with a high degree of proficiency. This position requires the ability to manage multiple deliverables and ensure deadlines are achieved with mínimal oversight.
**KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**Perform financial closeout reconciliations for General Contracting projects.- Monitor financial status of General Contracting projects for accuracy and completeness.- Manage the invoicing and collection of General Contracting projects.- Assist with the development and ongoing maintenance of financial dashboards.- Conduct various accounting month-end close tasks, including bank reconciliations and recording of accruals.- Coordinate and validate wire payments to vendors with our Treasury and General Contracting team.- Assist with preparing financial analysis for liquidity events.- Release CAPEX funding to our portfolio of properties as required.- Review total portfolio CAPEX transactions and prepare analysis used for investor distributions.- Additional special projects as required.
**CANDIDATE PROFILE**- Pursuing a CPA or CFA designation preferred, but not required.-
- High degree of proficiency using Microsoft Excel is required- Fundamental understanding of generally accepted accounting principles is required.- Experience in real estate is an asset, but not required.- Strong communicator and excellent time management skills.- Well-developed attention to detail and analytical skills.- Aptitude to leverage technology to gain efficiencies and improve processes.- Team first mentality and a drive to get work completed in a timely manner.
