We are looking for a dynamic and client focused
**Server Generalist** for our
**Edmonton **branch to make a meaningful impact as a member of the Managed IT Support (MITS) team Focused on operations and post-implementation support and training, you will act as a trusted advisor who will provide technical guidance and support to our clients.

**A Day in the Life**:

- Provide guidance to clients on-site and remotely, supporting their Microsoft technology stack
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, and other network and system problems, and replace defective components when necessary
- Configure, and test computer hardware, networking software and operating system software
- Analyze equipment performance records to determine the need for repair or replacement
- Participate in recommending changes to improve systems and network configurations, and determine hardware or software requirements related to such changes
- Participate in gathering data pertaining to customer needs, and use the information to identify, predict, interpret, and evaluate system and network requirements

**What You Bring**:

- 4+ years of technical support experience
- Experience with the following:

- o Active Directory domain services, DNS, DHCP, DFS, Group Policy and Print Services
- o Multiple domain environment with AD Trusts and permissions knowledge.
- o Azure: Primarily hosting Windows servers vs Azure native services.
- Ability to produce effective documentation, implementation plans, problem resolution and incident workarounds
- Client-oriented mindset with the ability to adapt to multiple client environments
- Manage and monitor the Primary Nutanix cluster
- Experience in L1 networking technologies
- File server/system migration, troubleshooting any issues that may arise.
- Technical knowledge of VMware virtualization
