Vancouver, Canada Corus Orthodontists Full time

Are you passionate about creating exceptional patient experiences and helping people achieve their dream smiles? Shoreline Orthodontics is excited to be growing - we’ve recently welcomed a new doctor to our team and we’re looking for an enthusiastic Certified Dental Assistant to be part of our journey.
For over 30 years, Shoreline Orthodontics has proudly served the communities of Vancouver Island, providing outstanding care and building lasting relationships with patients and families. If you’ve been thinking about specializing in orthodontics, this is the perfect opportunity - we are committed to training the right person and will support our new team member by securing a spot in the ortho module.
We’re hiring for both full-time and part-time positions, and we’re pleased to offer relocation assistance for someone eager to move to the community and grow their career with us.
What Sets Us Apart
At Shoreline Orthodontics, we’re more than an orthodontic practice - our certified specialists and dedicated team share a passion for orthodontic excellence and compassionate care. We offer:

- A Supportive Environment with Community Focus: Work in a positive, collaborative workplace where team members lift each other up. Build strong relationships with patients and the communities we proudly serve.
- Commitment to Excellence: Deliver quality care in every patient interaction and enjoy ongoing opportunities for growth, including $500 in annual learning assistance.
- Compensation & Perks That Count: $30.00-$37.00 per hour, depending on your experience and training. Newer CDAs typically start on the entry stage with lots of room to grow, while those with their Ortho Module can expect to land at the higher end. On top of that, you’ll have access to extended health coverage, a health spending account, an employee assistance program, complimentary orthodontic treatment for you and your immediate family, and a uniform allowance.
- Work-Life Balance: Enjoy a 24-32 hour workweek, 3-4 days per week.

How You’ll Make an Impact
- Provide all aspects of clinical patient care in a professional, efficient, and caring manner.
- Perform sterilization procedures, set up operatories, and take x-rays, photos, and intraoral scans.
- Once the Ortho Module is completed, assist with a wide range of procedures including direct bond bracket placement, archwire/appliance adjustments, and aligner appointments under doctor supervision.
- Build positive relationships with patients, families, and coworkers to keep treatment on schedule.
- Enter detailed chart/record notations in the practice management system.
- Provide patient instruction and education, including reports to parents/guardians.
- Support additional duties as needed to ensure smooth practice operations.

The Teammate We’re Looking For
- Certified Dental Assistant and licensed with BCCOHP.
- 1+ years’ experience as a CDA.
- Ortho Module completion is an asset but not required.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive rapport with patients, parents, doctors, and colleagues.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with dental software systems is an asset.
