We are currently accepting resumes for experienced and qualified Chief Mate.

The duties of the Chief Mate shall be as follows:

- Distribute work assignments, train and supervise junior officers and cadets and deck ratings;
- Maintain a safe and efficient navigational watch;
- Ensure that all deck operations are adequately planned and relevant policies, standards and administrative controls strictly followed;
- Ensuring proper record keeping of equipment in the vessel's planned maintenance system
- Updating daily log books
- Other duties as reasonably required

**Requirements**:

- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Valid and Unlimited Transport Canada Marine Medical
- Watchkeeping Mate COC
- STCW MEDs
- Marine Basic First Aid
- Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven track record of relevant offshore experience in the marine sector
- Ability to read, write, and understand English
