Host/hostess

**Overview**

**Responsibilities**
- Greet guests warmly as they enter the restaurant and provide them with seating options.
- Manage reservations and maintain an accurate waitlist during busy periods.
- Ensure that all guests are attended to promptly and courteously throughout their dining experience.
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure efficient service flow.
- Answer phone calls with professionalism, taking reservations or addressing guest inquiries as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host area, including menus and waiting areas.
- Utilize POS systems, including Touch Bistro POS, to manage guest seating and orders effectively.
- Assist in training new staff members on guest service standards and procedures.

**Experience**
- Previous experience in guest services or hospitality is preferred.
- Familiarity with food service operations and restaurant environments is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on creating positive dining experiences.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with guests and team members.
- Experience with POS systems is beneficial; knowledge of Micros POS is a plus.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
