**PURCHASING ASSOCIATE**

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage inventory and stock items with adherence to min/max quantities
- Verify stock availability from inventory and resolve inventory discrepancies
- Prepare purchase order requisitions
- Research potential vendors and negotiate pricing, goods, and delivery
- Source suppliers and maintain relationships with existing vendors
- Work with supplier to expedite shipments
- Manage inventory returns

**Jobs Skills & Qualifications**:

- Minimum three-years of work experience in similar industry
- Completion of a Secondary School Diploma or the equivalent knowledge and experience
- Experience and/or knowledge of industry is asset
- Entry level of inventory level requirements
- Competence in Excel and proficiency in MS Office
- Analytical, research, and problem-solving skills
- Strong negotiation and research skills
- Able to work well under pressure on numerous tasks with imposing deadlines
- Experience using SAP database is an asset

- $45,000 - $50,000 per year
