We are seeking a nurturing and dedicated Early Childhood Assistant Teacher to join our Montessori school. As an integral member of our teaching team, the Assistant Teacher will support lead teachers in creating a warm, stimulating, and child-centered learning environment that reflects the Montessori philosophy.

**Responsibilities**:
**Support Classroom Activities**:

- Assist the lead teacher in preparing and maintaining the Montessori environment to support children’s independence and curiosity.
- Encourage children to engage in age-appropriate, hands-on activities that promote their cognitive, emotional, and physical development.

**Guide and Observe Children**:

- Provide guidance and support to children during individual and group activities.
- Observe and document children’s progress to share with the lead teacher and contribute to individualized learning plans.

**Foster Positive Interactions**:

- Encourage respectful, kind interactions among children and support conflict resolution as needed.
- Model grace, courtesy, and problem-solving skills to promote a harmonious classroom community.

**Maintain a Safe and Clean Environment**:

- Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times by adhering to school policies and safety protocols.
- Assist in cleaning and organizing the classroom, including daily setup and preparation of materials.

**Collaborate with Team Members**:

- Communicate effectively with the lead teacher and staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and parent-teacher conferences as required.

**Engage with Families**:

- Build positive relationships with parents and caregivers by sharing updates on their children’s progress and addressing any concerns.

**Qualifications**:

- Passion for working with young children in a Montessori setting.
- Experience or coursework in early childhood education is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- A calm, patient, and nurturing demeanor.
- Montessori training or certification is a plus but not required.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
