The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the Sales Manager, the Financial Analyst, Brokerage Sales will support the brokerage sales representatives in their business development efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze requests for quotes and make decisions based on the level of risk: decline, approve or transfer the decision to pricing team (based on pre-established criterion)
- Complete Risk Selection Grid
- Track quotes and maintain updates in the Quotation Activity Log
- Provide alternate benefit costings for inforce groups using pricing tools
- Review and prepare benefit proposals to send directly to advisors
- Work with the utilization team to create queries and generate sales reports
- Support the Account Executives through analysis of various internal reports
- Represent the Brokerage Sales team during inter-departmental meetings in order to improve business processes and ensure that Service Level Agreement targets are met
- Back up team members as required
Qualifications
- Education: University or college diploma in business administration, finance or accounting.
- Work Experience: One to three years of relevant experience.
- Computer Skills: Advanced knowledge of Excel and strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of products and advanced ability with databases.
- Language Skills: Bilingualism is required
