Diesel Journeyman Technician

**Requirements**:

- GM training on diesel engines and transmissions
- Journeyman technician license
- Valid driver's license
- 3-5 years of direct work experience in an automotive repairs and service at a GM or Chevrolet dealership
- Be able to work independently and assist others as needed in a team
- Punctual and reliable
- Positive attitude
- Monday - Friday with occasional Saturday

**Roles & Responsibilities**
- Inspecting and diagnosing issues with diesel and gas vehicles to identify any issues or potential problems while documenting all findings
- Reading and interpreting diagnostic test results
- Repairing or replacing malfunctioning parts
- Testing the functionality of repaired vehicles
- Inspecting and diagnosing brake systems, steering mechanisms, transmissions, and engines for damage and wear
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organized work environment
- Advising customers on work performed, general vehicle condition, and future repair requirements
- Ordering parts as required
- Perform recalls
- Communicate daily with service advisors and service management to provide updates on the vehicles status of repairs and to discuss any further issues or concerns

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
