A&W Victoria, in BC, is now seeking part time Prep Cook for our Esquimalt location (860 Esquimalt Road).

**Job Type**: Part-time. Work includes various shifts (Days, Evenings and Weekends).

A Prep Cook is responsible for assisting the kitchen team in preparing ingredients and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. This role is crucial for ensuring that food is prepared efficiently and meets the restaurant's quality standards.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Food Preparation**: Wash, chop, and sort ingredients such as vegetables and meats.
**Cooking Assistance**: Measure and prepare ingredients for recipes and start the initial steps of various menu items.
**Sanitation**: Clean and sanitize workstations, utensils, and equipment during and after service.
**Inventory Management**: Label and stock ingredients and monitor inventory levels.
**Compliance**: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and storage practices.
**Support**: Assist kitchen staff with various tasks to ensure smooth operation and timely food delivery. Receive delivery of supplies.

**Qualifications**:
**Experience**: Previous experience in a kitchen or food preparation role is preferred but not required.
**Skills**: Ability to follow recipes, strong attention to detail, and good organizational skills.
**Physical Requirements**: Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy items, and work in a fast-paced environment.
**Team Player**: Ability to work well with others and communicate effectively.
