**What **you'll** do**:
**Operational Management**:

- Assist the Store Manager in managing day-to-day store operations, including opening and closing procedures.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to ensure the availability of a diverse range of products.
- Ensure the store layout, displays, and signage are consistently aligned with brand standards and seasonal promotions.
- Oversee the implementation of safety, health, and cleanliness protocols throughout the store

**Customer Experience**:

- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries, resolving complaints, and ensuring a welcoming shopping environment.
- Train and coach staff on customer service best practices, fostering a culture of excellence.
- Handle escalated customer issues and work to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.

**Team Leadership**:

- Assist in recruiting, training, and developing store staff to ensure a motivated and competent team.
- Schedule and manage staff shifts to ensure adequate coverage and optimal productivity.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
- Lead by example, demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and a strong work ethic.

**Sales and Financial Performance**:

- Support the Store Manager in achieving sales targets and profitability goals.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and growth.
- Assist in managing budgets, controlling expenses, and maximizing revenue.
- Implement strategies to increase basket size, customer retention, and overall sales.

**Merchandising and Inventory Management**:

- Ensure products are well-stocked, properly labeled, and attractively displayed.
- Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular stock checks, and reduce waste by managing perishable items effectively.
- Collaborate with department managers to plan and execute promotional activities and seasonal events.

**Compliance and Safety**:

- Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and local regulations, including health and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of store operations, including sales, inventory, and personnel.
- Conduct regular store audits to ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.

**What **you’ll** bring**:
**Education**:

- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, retail management, or a related field preferred

**Experience**:

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a retail management role, preferably in a grocery store or related environment
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing budgets

**Skills**:

- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficient in retail management software and POS systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of grocery products, trends, and customer preferences.
