**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Greet customers with a welcoming acknowledgement.
- Assist customers with product information.
- Be on a constant lookout for new opportunities.
- Process customers sales orders and requests in POS system.
- Receive payments on charge accounts and cash sales.
- Execute computer generated quotations for decks, replacement windows, exterior doors etc.
- Actively sell lumber, trim, interior doors, flooring, windows and all other LBM related products.
- Assist with sale of special-order products, such as flooring, storm doors, cedar products, plywood products and railings.
- Ongoing inventory support on inventory SKU’s including additions and deletions.
- Support & promote new product lines.
- Maintain adequate shelf stock regularly.
- Merchandize retail area pertaining to LBM.
- Create end caps and rotate stock regularly for LBM categories.
- Weekly ordering of HH products in conjunction with General manager.
- Manage the schedule for the LBM team.
- Attend monthly LBM meetings.
- Responsible for delegating jobs and providing adequate desk coverage.
- Work alongside Social Media team for Advertising/Promotions/Events
- Work alongside Retail Analyst to manage Slow Movers
- Manage LBM filing systems ( PO’s / WO’s / Holds / Pickups / Backorders)
- Responsible for Cycle counting with desk team assistance.
- Communicate with lumber yard & delivery staff with customer orders, pick-ups and deliveries.
- Work with LBM sales team and manager to accomplish sales budget and goals.
- Attend training seminars and Home Hardware semi-annual markets when required.
- Have flexibility to work in any other temporary assignment as designated by Retail Manager.
- Access returns and customers concerns.
- Answer phones and relay messages as necessary.
- Project a “helpful” image to customers.
- Treat customers as “you” would like to be treated.
- Receive products into computer system, assist with pricing and store set up.
- Restock and maintain clean LBM retail areas as required.
- Be able to work in a fast-paced and constantly changing retail environment.
- Ability to train and motivate other staff as needed.

**JOB REQUIREMENTS**
- Minimum two years experience in Retail Sales required.
- Experience with lumber or hardware related products and services.
- Be able to work in a fast-paced and constantly changing retail environment.
- Work well independently and within a team environment.
- Ability to train and motivate other staff as needed.
- Knowledge in the building & renovation industry is a must.
- Experience with computer-generated quotations, decks replacement windows, exterior doors etc.
- Experience, knowledge & expertise in tools, hardware, plumbing, electrical & HVAC is an asset.
- Motivated, self-starting individual with a strong work ethic.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Be able to work well with others and take direction from senior management.
- Outgoing, personable & honest.
- Strong family values are essential.
- Physically fit: able to stand, walk and assist with 30-50lb packages.
- Organizational skill required.

- Ability to listen and understand customer’s needs.
- Enjoy working in a team environment.
- Flexibility in Work Schedule. Store Hours: Monday Friday 7:30 am - 8:00 pm, Saturday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. Closed Sunday.
- Expected to work every other Saturday, and one evening shift per week (12-8pm)
- Office/Laptop/Business Cards/ will be provided.
