**Position Summary**

The successful applicant will work closely with the Machine Safety Technical Lead/Winnipeg Group Manager. They will provide guidance and support on projects to our Machine Safety team and will travel to client sites as needed. Specifically, this may include:

- Perform risk assessments on industrial equipment to meet legislative and machine safety standard requirements, including CSA, ANSI and ISO standards (e.g. CSA Z432, ANSI B11, ISO 12100).
- Perform safety circuit verification and validation on safeguarding controls as required by ISO 13849.
- Prepare technical reports that meet legislative requirements, best practices, and client expectations.
- Prepare proposals and project budgets with assistance from Machine Safety Technical Lead.
- Plan, organize, and coordinate work throughout the project life cycle. This includes being the primary contact for the client, distribute work to technicians, submit deliverables, and invoicing.
- Effectively manage client expectations, identify conflicting priorities, and resolve concerns.
- Maintain and enhance quality control for all project deliverables.
- Provide training to internal personnel and clients as needed.

Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with the potential for overtime work based on project needs. Travel between worksites will be required locally, as well as intermittent out-of-town travel to service clients across North America. The role offers a hybrid work arrangement, combining time in our physical office, on-site visits to client locations, and the flexibility to work from home as needed.

**Required Skills and Experience**
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.; electrical preferred) registered with Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with industrial equipment
- Experience with machine safeguarding assessments and knowledge of machine safety standards (CSA, ANSI, ISO) an asset
- Experience using CAD programs such as AutoCAD and TurboCAD an asset
- Valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle for local travel
- Able to travel and work extended hours if required for project needs
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite including SharePoint
- Manage conflicting priorities and deadlines
- Work independently as well as part of a team
- Coachable with a positive work attitude

**About Us**

EHSP is a full-service firm built around professionals and leaders in the field of environmental and occupational health and safety. We have been providing OH&S consulting services throughout North America since 1986 and help clients keep their employees safe by assessing worksites for hazards and improving their health and safety programs through risk assessments, testing, monitoring, auditing and training. This role will specifically work with our Machine Safety Services division to perform assessments and design safeguarding solutions for industrial equipment. Our clients and specific industry experience include manufacturing of all types, all commodities (oil and gas, base metal, and soft rock mining), facility management, light and heavy construction, transport, education, and service sectors.
