Tech Services Project Manager

**OVERVIEW**

Unio Tech Solutions offers a full range of IT services and special projects for medium and large sized companies throughout Canada and the USA. We are looking for an enthusiastic and hard working individual to take on the role of **Tech Services Project Manager** for our company.

The Project Manager is responsible to ensure that jobs delivered are expertly coordinated so that they are delivered on time and on budget, resulting in happy clients who engage in repeat business and proud tech teams for a seamless job well done.

The role includes ensuring that each job is organized from start to finish. This includes job planning, ensuring technical requirements are clear, scheduling is confirmed with clients, staff and subcontractors are scheduled and confirmed, equipment rentals are organized, tools and supplies are ordered and arrive to the site, travel and accommodations are booked, onsite troubleshooting is handled and job completion reports are submitted.

You must be a person with **at least 5 years of project management experience** in IT and/or commercial relocation.

You must be a person who is **confident to take initiative** and make quick decisions.

You must be willing to handle project details/requirements after hours and on weekends as the nature of our work involves a lot of last minute decisions from clients that need immediate handling.

This job is done in person at our office/warehouse in Markham, Ontario. Work on evenings and weekends can be done from home using a company laptop.

**We work with clients such as Uber, Sun Life Financial, Sephora, Allstate Insurance, Scotiabank, Walmart, Manulife and many other Fortune 500 companies.**

**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**Project Planning** - Document what needs to be done in our project software including defining the action steps that need to be completed before the job starts, putting together the checklists, and liaising with various departments and clients to ensure project details are thoroughly organized and implemented.
- Maintenance of job files and creating and updating project workflows
- Running project meetings and recording and distributing minutes
- Track job progress, changes, alert senior staff and Job Supervisors to delays, issues etc.

**Site Walk-throughs** - Attending site visits for upcoming jobs or assigning Job Supervisors to attend, so that specific details on how a project will be delivered can be finalized.

**Job Verification** - Review scopes of work and ensure that any communication with clients with regard to project details is fully understood and implemented.

**Technical Requirements** - Ensuring that any technical information is obtained prior to the job starting and given to the correct tech team members. This includes floor plans, seat maps, special tool requirements, scissor lifts/other rentals, network testers, ladders or specialized knowledge (i.e., tech onsite must know how to do a certain technical task).

**Certifications and Standards** - Ensuring that any requirements such as WHMIS, Working At Heights, Insurance, WSIB etc., are sent to the client prior to the job starting. If we are using a subcontractor, they should be received from the subcontractor as well.

**Client Requirements** - Receiving any details from the client related to onsite contacts, addresses, start and end time limitations, name tags, security sign-in instructions, where to get access cards, PPE requirements etc.

**Tech Team & Job Scheduling** - Entering job details into the scheduling app - date, time, address, scope of work, assigning the Job Supervisor and the tech team for each job.
- Reviewing the Scope of Work with Job Supervisors prior to the job commencing to ensure they have a plan to deliver the job that meets Unio Tech standards, they have all site contact details and that they have any required documentation needed (i.e., floor plans or seating charts).
- Verifying staff have accepted shifts and finding replacements if necessary.
Make sure staff rides are coordinated for jobs not on a subway line or that are outside the GTA.
- Decide on staff drivers and which vehicles are available. Ensure drivers know their assigned vehicle and where to pick it up.
- After a shift ensure that all techs log their hours into the scheduling app. Check staff hours daily and ensure that any discrepancies are explained clearly.
- Approving or disapproving staff hour changes on the TimeClock in the scheduling app.
- Handling any last-minute job changes (ie., change in start times, date changes, scope changes), staff illness, staff replacements etc.

**Project Oversight**- Overseeing on-site supervisors to ensure scope of work has been completed as per the quote and to help them troubleshoot problems before and during a job to ensure that the clients receive the service they are expecting. Project oversight also includes liaising with the owners to address changes to scopes of work while the job is in progress and how best to handl
