Purchasing & Inventory Control Specialist

**THE POSITION**
**THE DAY-TO-DAY**
Research potential vendors and negotiate prices.
Develop and maintain supplier relationships.
Evaluate supplier performance and corrective actions.
Issue purchase orders for inventory and operational needs.
Perform market research for the various components purchased to find new suppliers.
Set objectives and track KPI on procurement initiatives.
Prepare and share detailed records on procurement activities and strategies.
Ensure prompt and accurate updating of the ERP system (IFS) or other tools (Excel, Click Up, etc.).
Collaborate with colleagues and internal stakeholders to improve the supply chain design.
In collaboration with the manufacturing managers, recommend solutions to existing processes to improve production quality and throughput.
Forecasting, reporting, and budgeting.
**THE SKILLS WE ARE LOOKING FOR**
Degree in supply chain management, business administration or related field.
3-5 years’ experience in a similar role.
Knowledge of the chemical industry will be an advantage.
Knowledge of supply chain and procurement tasks and responsibilities.
Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment; ability to organize and prioritize effectively; maintain flexibility as priorities change.
Analytical thinking with problem solving aptitude.
Well-developed written and verbal communication skills for report writing and interactions with diverse groups inside/outside of the company.
Knowledge in Microsoft 365 (especially Excel) is preferred.
