We are growing rapidly and we’re looking for someone who shares this vision and wants to grow with us **WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR** We are looking for a curious and insightful Machine operator, to ensure the smooth working of Machines in the production department. This role will be based out of our **Eastside Manufacturing Facility in Etobicoke**. **WHAT YOU’D BE DOING IN THIS ROLE** - Perform pre-operational checks on all machinery and equipment to ensure it is in proper working condition - Perform basic machine adjustments, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair - Load and unload equipment from vehicles and trailers - Ensure company equipment, material, and the worksite are maintained, kept clean, and stored in a safe manner. - Collect and dispose of scrap, excess materials, and refuse - Organize, maintain an obstructive-free work area and safely operate all machinery/equipment - Complete required paperwork, reporting, and other documentation - Perform and report on daily safety and maintenance checks - Start machinery and adjust machinery when necessary to improve performance - Operate machinery and equipment according to instructions - Troubleshoot issues and perform maintenance - Perform quality control, follow reporting and recordkeeping procedures, and report problems to supervisor **SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED TO GET THE JOB DONE** - Sound knowledge of HACCP and WHMIS - Attention to detail, organizational and problem-solving skills - Effective time management and communication skills - This is a physically demanding position and requires the ability to lift 25kg - WHMIS, Pallet Lift Truck, Forklift certifications are an asset **WHAT YOU’LL BE GAINING BY JOINING OUR TEAM** There’s a lot of good stuff that comes along with being a DECIEM team member.
