Tayco is an Office Furniture Manufacturer looking for passionate and enthusiastic Machine Operators to join either our Wood or Metal departments on our Day Shift. The Job*
Machine Operators in our **Wood **department operate wood machines such as Biesse and Homag edge banders, CNC drill centers, and saws in accordance with our operating procedures and safety standards. They follow manufacturing orders, perform routine maintenance, and record data accordingly.
Machine Operators in our **Metal **department operate metal machines such as punch presses, drilling and milling machines, and other metal/aluminum fabrication machines in accordance with our operating procedures and safety standards.
**Pay Rate**: $19.01 per hour
**Hours of Work**: 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM
**Requirements**:
- Basic math skills required
- Able to understand routine verbal and written work instructions
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Able to take initiative and demonstrate proactive problem solving in daily work
- Able to multi-task and adapt to changing conditions
- Works well with others and builds effective working relationships within the department and Tayco
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and to carry, move, manipulate and/or position them, as well as move, bend, twist or occasional awkward body positions while performing work
- Has good hand-eye coordination and muscular control sufficient to operate tools or equipment and see closely/listen intently in order to detect flaws or errors and achieve detailed results
- Able to understand and follow established personal safety, security, and environmental practices. Is knowledgeable of and compliant with Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) and Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA). Must be trained in Health & Safety
- Exposure to a manufacturing environment is recommended
