**Job Overview**

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Facility Maintenance Technician is a full-time position, responsible for installing, inspecting, adjusting, and repairing equipment while following safety rules and regulations. You will be required to maintain all equipment to related standards and be responsive to production needs and equipment failures. You will work independently and maintain a high level of accuracy and safety while performing your duties.

**Responsibilities**
- Ensuring operating safety devices function properly on machineries
- Adhering to workplace safety policies, regulations and compliances
- Develop and participating in the PM program on all equipment for continuous improvement and to minimize downtime of all machines
- Keeping detailed and accurate maintenance reports, spare parts supplies inventories, and documentation
- Reading operation manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
- Installing stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment according to layout using hand and power tools
- Inspecting and examining machinery and equipment to detect irregularities and malfunctions
- Cleaning, lubricating and performing other routine maintenance work on machineries
- Adjusting machinery and repairing or replacing defective parts
- Maintaining a clean and environmentally safe work area
- Performing other related duties as assigned

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 2 years relevant work experience; Licensed Industrial Mechanic Millwright (433A) a definite asset but not required
- Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills allowing one to work effectively in a diverse working environment
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Experience using PLC’s is an asset
- Experience with Powder Coating Lines is an asset
- Experience within the fabric industry (sewing machines and fabric cutters) a definite asset
- Ability to work independently without supervision and meet tight deadlines
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Own tools/equipment as required

**Salary**: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
