**CONCRETE LABOURER**

Reporting to the Concrete Foreman, the Concrete Labourer will perform tasks such as pouring, formwork and grouting. The Concrete Labourer will operate hand and power tools, cement mixers, sprayers and other small equipment. This is a rotational based position in a remote location where camp accommodations and meals will be provided.

**CORE RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES**:

- Construct forms and assist in raising them to appropriate elevation
- Operate the concrete mixing machine in a safe manner to prepare cement or grout
- Operate a pressure sprayer to spray grout to cover exposed bedrock
- Install and tie rebar and wire mesh
- Clean construction site to eliminate possible hazards
- Load and unload construction materials and transport them to the job site
- Signal the concrete deliverer to position truck to facilitate pouring

**EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS**:

- 2+ years’ of concrete or carpentry experience
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including kneeling and standing for long periods of time and lifting heavy loads
- Ensure safety is a top priority at all times
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to self-start and take initiative on tasks
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
