Reporting to the Sr. Director of IT Services, the Product Manager, will join a team of high-performing and collaborative professionals, working closely together on the development and execution of growth strategies.
The Product Manager's primary customer will be the Risk, Data Control and Generation Asset
Management teams. They will manage the Data Analytics, Asset Management, Risk Management, and internally develop platforms used by their customers. The Product Manager has accountability for the development, support model, and identifying ways to drive additional value from the platforms.
The Product Manager will work with internal customers and external vendors to ensure the platforms are satisfying the business’ needs; this could include coordinating the ingestion of new data sources, serving as the escalation point if there are pipeline breaks or other maintenance issues, and working with users to architect and implement solutions to a diverse set of use cases across the company.
**Responsibilities**:
- Lead day-to-day management of Databricks/AWS platform
- Coordinate across internal and external engineering teams
- Collaborate with external partners to execute the development of new tools and ensure a support he strategy will be established after the execution
- Work closely with CIO and Technology Program Managers to develop long-term platform strategy and identify enhancements
- Work with stakeholders to define business requirements and outcomes and ensure the IT
infrastructure can support current and future digital transformation initiatives
- Accountable for performance, user experience, and development of the following platforms:
- Information Delivery - Data platform used by commercial, trading, and risk teams to support
reporting, fundamental analysis, and development of tools
- Risk Tools - Used to report and model risk around commercial operations
- Asset Management - Tools used to forecast, optimize and schedule generation for various river systems.
**Requirements**:
- University degree in Math, Computer Science, or Engineering
- 2-5 years of relevant work experience preferably in a technical discipline
- Strong focus on the customer and delivering business outcomes
- Experience in Hydrology forecasting
- Experience in Python and SQL, familiarity with data processing frameworks such as Spark
- Experience with Data Viz tools (Tableau, Power BI) preferred
- Experience with AWS tools and products (S3, EventBridge, etc.)
- Experience as a Business Analysts or Project Manager
- Exposure to ML and AI use cases and projects
Pay: $120,000.00-$135,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
Supplemental pay types:
- Bonus pay
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Gatineau, QC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
