**Job Summary**:
Lawson Health Research Institute (Lawson) is the research institute of London Health Sciences Centre and St. Joseph’s Health Care London. As one of Canada’s top ten research institutes, we are committed to furthering scientific knowledge to advance health care around the world.

This role liaises with patients, research and clinical staff, and external stakeholders in the conduct of research studies while ensuring compliance with the research study protocols, research policies and regulatory requirements.

Rate of Pay: $27.43 to $34.28, to commensurate with experience

Hours of Work: up 37.5 hours per week, depending on study enrolment (no guarantee of hours)

**Teaching, Learning and Research**

London Health Sciences Centre is proudly one of Canada’s largest acute-care teaching and research hospitals. Approximately 2,900 Nursing, Health and other students ranging from secondary school to university graduate level programs receive training at LHSC every year. As an employee of LHSC, you will be expected to engage in role-related teaching, professional development, and research activities in addition to standard position duties and responsibilities.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in health-related field is preferred however equivalent qualification/work experience will be considered;
- Minimum 1 year recent related experience in a similar role; preferably in a research environment
- Moderate level of proficiency with Microsoft products
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Ability to communicate effectively general and scientific information both verbally and in writing at all levels;
- Ability to work independently and make decisions. Good judgement, initiative, tact and professional attitude in the workplace;
- Adaptable, flexible and resourceful. Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines;
- Prior clinical trials experience is preferred
- Experience working in an academic/research environment
- Training in ICH/GCP guidelines.
- Familiarity with Lawson policies and procedures an asset
- Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to patient and staff safety at LHSC
- Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis
- Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to the principles of patient and family centred care

**Immunization Requirements**:
Before beginning employment at LHSC, all new hires will be required to:

- Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (chicken pox), Hepatitis B, Tetanus/ Diphtheria/Polio; Meningitis;
- Provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing (two step);
- Provide proof of Health Canada-approved COVID-19 vaccination reflective of Ontario Health’s current definition of being fully vaccinated
