We are looking for a Custodian/Event Set-Up Professional who is passionate about creating and maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming environment. This is a contract position commencing on May 5, 2025 (or sooner) and ending on December 31, 2025.

**What You'll Do**
- Ensure RBG Centre and other on-site buildings remain clean, welcoming, and event ready.
- Set up and tear down event spaces according to detailed floor plans.
- Monitor and replenish cleaning materials to ensure efficiency.
- Sort and dispose of waste responsibly in line with RBG’s eco-friendly initiatives.
- Receive, unload, and distribute supplies as needed.
- Help with building access by locking and unlocking doors as required.
- Transport assets and equipment between RBG properties.
- Use and perform routine maintenance on cleaning and event tools, including carpet cleaners, vacuum cleaners, scrubbing machines, floor polishers, and audiovisual systems.
- Provide friendly, helpful assistance to visitors when needed.

**What You Bring**
- Strong understanding of event floor plans and layouts to ensure smooth, accurate setups.
- Experience in facility maintenance and cleaning within multi-use event spaces.
- Confidence in handling cleaning equipment like carpet cleaners, scrubbing machines, and floor polishers.
- Knowledge of inventory tracking and supply replenishment.
- Ability to follow security protocols and maintain controlled access to event spaces.
- Familiarity with eco-friendly cleaning and waste disposal practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills to handle event setup challenges.
- Excellent time management skills to balance multiple responsibilities and meet event deadlines.
- Physical ability to lift, move, and transport supplies while keeping track of inventory.
- Strong communication skills to interpret instructions, collaborate with teammates, and assist guests professionally.
