**Boom + Batten is hiring a Variable Front of House Shift Leader who will also Serve and/or Bartend on days when not managing.**

Featuring a team of dedicated and talented industry professionals we are looking for a Front of House Shift Leader, Server and/or Bartender who has a real passion for hospitality to join our management team. Schedule will include Serving and/or Bartending shifts and Shift Leading shifts as needed.

Boom + Batten is located on the water in the Victoria International Marina and has stunning views from our dining room, bar, and café. We serve coastal cuisine inspired by our local surroundings and global adventures. Our beverage program features cutting edge cocktails, local and craft partnerships, and an elevated wine list designed to showcase the innovative and fresh ingredients on our menu.

Your passion for exceptional service will lead our team to the execution of superior experiences for all guests.

Your daily efforts must reflect the vision of our company. You will continuously train, develop and lead an incredible team who will be motivated by your inspirational leadership and who understand the crucial role they all play in the overall success of the business.

**Summary of Responsibilities**
- Driving product and service culture, continually checking with guests and service staff
- Supervision of all front of house service staff in accordance with operating policies during their shift
- Responsible for ensuring that proper food handling and liquor service are being met by all staff
- Organizing and conducting pre-shift meetings and communicating pertinent information to all staff
- Handling guest concerns and complaints in a prompt and professional manner
- Assisting guests and service staff with wine and beverage pairings
- Organizing, building and maintaining a professional and fun work environment

**Preferred Experience, Skills and Education**
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Must possess good attitude, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure
- WSET level 2 certification or higher preferred (or equivalent experience or accreditation)
- Strong background in hospitality
- Working knowledge of food preparation methods and culinary terminology

**Schedule Requirements**
- Schedule may fluctuate based on requirements but evenings and weekends are required
