**Credential Investment Adviser - **working for Aviso Wealth servicing Kawartha Credit Union members

**Location**:Peterborough, ON and surrounding area

**Hours**: 40 hours per week

**Rate of Pay**:Commission based pay structure

**As a Credential Investment Adviser, you will**:

- Acquire new clients through business development activities to build portfolio.
- Conduct personal interviews with members, identify individual member needs and goals, develop an appropriate financial plan, and make appropriate recommendations.
- Provide members with retirement planning, investment counseling (investment funds, stocks, bonds), estate planning, and life and disability insurance services.
- Sell critical illness insurance and long term care benefits and provide service in this area.
- Create and maintain client files, and reports on activities to Kawartha Credit Union Senior Manager of Wealth.
- Conduct client seminars on wealth management and attend Trade Shows as required.
- Administer assigned budget; ensure budget is not exceeded and expenditures are effectively managed.
- Promote the credit union’s investment and insurance services through the CFS program in the community.
- Provide support where possible to Credit Union staff on wealth management products.

**Qualifications**:
- Post-secondary education with emphasis in financial planning or management would be preferred- Level II Life License
- Mutual Fund (IFIC) and/or Securities (CSC) Licensing
- Financial Planning Designation (i.e. CFP, CLU, Ch.F.C., CIM)
- Minimum of two years of industry experience as a Financial Planner
- Ability to develop and maintain cooperative relationships
- Strong sales and presentation skills
- Strong organization skills
- Strong business development skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
