**JOB SUMMARY**

The Commercial Credit Analyst (CCA) is bilingual and is responsible for managing the associated credit risk on an allocated group of wholesale/commercial finance accounts considered medium to high risk and perform the underwriting. The CCA ensures the commercial finance portfolio (for Quebec and Ontario) is managed in accordance with policy and procedures, takes proactive measures to mitigate risk of loss, implement that agreed upon mitigation action plan, and updates management.

This position is based in ON/QC.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Oversee the assigned portfolio of wholesale (medium to high risk) accounts by ensuring reception of monthly dealership financial statements, perform adjustments to determine appropriate dealer risk score. For identified as high risk accounts: perform an in-depth financial analysis to identify the root causes of the risk and identify remedies required to then present these accounts with proposed risk mitigation recommendations to Wholesale Credit Committee Members (CEO, CFO, Directors, Managers) during the portfolio review meetings to reach consensus on action plan. Lead the risk mitigations activities, including liaising with internal & external parties, and ensure completion within the agreed timeline.
- Perform annual review for assigned portfolio of wholesale (medium to high risk) accounts, by reconciling the year-end annual financial statements (audited/reviewed/compiled) to ensure the quality and accuracy of the dealership financial reporting. Analyze the capital structure of the borrower and evaluate the operating performance of the dealership to validate that all commercial finance requirements are met and ensure VW Credit Canada, Inc (VCCI) has appropriate securities in place.
- Originate, analyze commercial credit requests to structure credit proposals which adhere to lending guides/criteria while simultaneously satisfying borrower requirements to formulate loan recommendations to the Wholesale Credit Committee.
- Coordinate training of team members in financial statement adjustments, policies & procedures, wholesale system functionalities, audit process & collection and insurance verification to ensure knowledge sharing.
- Create weekly, monthly and ad-hoc departmental and enterprise reports for Senior & Executive Management (Canada, US & AG) review of the commercial finance portfolio performance and identification of potential risk concerns.

**EDUCATION**
- Bachelor’s Degree, Business Administration, Finance or Accounting
- MBA/MSc with concentration in Finance or Marketing, preferred

**EXPERIENCE**
- 5 years financial statement analysis experience or
- 3 years financial analysis experience
- 2 + years automotive retail/wholesale related experience
- Financial experience analysis in the Automotive Finance or
- Commercial lending industry, preferred
- Automotive retail dealership experience, preferred
