**OVERVIEW**
Our Technology team’s goal is to inspire growth through innovative technology experiences. McCain is embarking on an ambitious digital transformation across our business from Agriculture to Manufacturing to Customers and Consumers. As part of this transformation, we are making significant investments into our data systems and building digital products for our customers, key suppliers and McCain team members to enable digital processes and data-driven automation over time. Through our investments, we will transform McCain to be a place that empowers our teams with easy-to-use tools and inspired analytics.
We are currently recruiting an **Operations Lead** to join the leadership team of our Digital & Data team and reporting to the Vice-President Digital & Data. This role will work with our Data Engineers, Data Analysts and Data Scientists to drive the delivery of the highest-priority projects in Data & Analytics, serving as a point person for our team’s most critical deliverables. This role is also a key contributor to the Digital & Data strategy, supporting the Digital & Data leadership team to drive strategic priorities at pace. **JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Act as a coach to the Data & Analytics delivery teams, by demonstrating Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives for select Data & Analytics projects and coaching delivery leads to hold Agile ceremonies in their own teams
- Provide guidance and support to team members on Agile principles and practices, helping them to continuously improve their processes and deliverables.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment, ensuring that team members have the necessary resources, tools, and information to achieve their goals.
- Help the team to identify and remove any obstacles or impediments that may affect their progress or productivity, including data-related challenges, technical dependencies, and stakeholder engagement.
- Collaborate with product owners, data stakeholders, and business partners in our digital & data teams to ensure that Product Owners in data and analytics are properly refining and prioritizing their backlogs, and that sprint goals are aligned with business objectives.
- Monitor and track team progress and performance using Agile metrics, and provide regular status updates to stakeholders and leadership.
- Encourage a culture of continuous improvement and innovation, and facilitate knowledge sharing and learning across the team.
- Stay up-to-date with Agile best practices and industry trends, and proactively identify opportunities to optimize Agile processes and methodologies within the Data & Analytics team.
**KEY QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCES**:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Data Science, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- At least 3 years of prior experience in Consulting, or Project Management
- Proven experience working as a Project Manager or Operations Lead in an Agile, technology delivery environment, preferably with data and analytics teams (Scrum master certification preferred)
- Excellent facilitation, coaching, and mentoring skills, with the ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with data technologies, tools, and processes, such as data engineering, data science, data visualization, and analytics. (Azure stack preferred)
- Understanding of the role and importance of Data Governance practice to effective Data Analytics.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and address team dynamics, conflicts, and challenges in a constructive manner.
- Experience with Agile tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and strategically, with a data-driven mindset.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently, with a proactive and results-oriented mindset.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
