Site Supervisor Land Development

Tasks include but are not limited to:

- Being the main point person and have overall responsibility for the construction site
- Proactively handle day-to-day operations of construction site
- Create daily, weekly, and monthly task lists in coordination with project managers
- Keep projects on schedule while managing changing priorities across multiple sites
- Anticipate and identify problems, evaluate alternative causes, and produce workable solutions
- Ensuring health and safety guidelines are followed on site at all times
- Ability and familiarity to operate a wide variety of heavy machinery equipment
- Experience with site preparation, grade control, and earth works for subdivision development
- Interpret plans, regulations, and codes of practice in order to direct the progress of work and monitor compliance with construction documents
- Arrange supply of material and equipment
- Proactively communication with project managers, engineers, labourers, subcontractors, and inspectors.
- Managing multiple priorities across multiple development sites
- Meeting subtrades onsite to set clear expectations
- Assist in the preparation of construction schedules
- Organize all project information: drawings, specifications, shop drawings, reports
- Maintain good communication with trades and suppliers to ensure timely and efficient completion of jobs,
- Be proactive in recognizing and dealing with issues that may arise on site
- Monitor and coordinate communication on projects’ progress
- Track & manage site instructions, contemplated change notices and change orders

Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years experience as a construction site manager/ supervisor
- Labour and machinery experience mandatory
- Experience with residential construction and its various trade disciplines
- Experience in underground servicing requirements and execution for residential and commercial developments
- Ability and familiarity to operate a wide variety of heavy machinery equipment
- Experience with site preparation, grade control, and earth works for subdivision development
- Experience with medium and high density residential projects.
- Post-secondary education or equivalent training preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Read and understand construction drawings/ documents
- Strong multitasking and organizational skills
- Must be able to prioritize a heavy workload and meet deadlines for multiple projects at one time
- Ability to work individually or as part of a team, overseeing and directing labourers when necessary
- Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel (OneDrive, SmartSheet, etc. are an asset)
- Have a G Class Drivers license

- Weekends as needed
