At kids ko. Childcare Centre we create an environment where every child has the

maintaining a safe
and secure environment for the well-being of the children in
our care.

working in a childcare setting supporting the development of children during
times of learning, transition and growth. They will have proven ability in
developing socialization, managing emotions and facilitating the opportunity for
the children to build strong relationships.
Responsibilities include creating and facilitating engaging activities that are fun
collaboration with fellow childcare educators with casual daily check-ins and
formal bi-weekly meetings with their direct
supervisor, the Childcare Centre
Program Leader.
Having fun, laughing, playing and getting messy is fundamental to the role and
our centre
Duties
Ensure that all actions and activities meet the Child Care and Early Years
Act (CCEYA) regulations and the Early Learning and Care Assessment for
Quality Improvement (AQI)
Maintain a healthy and safe environment that meets the requirements set
forth by the Ministry of Ontario and adheres to the kids ko. cleaning
checklist
Follow all health guidelines specified by London Health
Continually maintain and organize classroom to create a clean, welcoming
and joyful environment that fosters learning and cooperation
Proactively plan and implement programs that are engaging, stimulating
and age-appropriate for the classroom. Program must meet the physical,
cognitive, intellectual and emotional needs of the children.
Assist children in washroom routines, dressing and meal/snack activities
Model positive adult/child relationships
Document children's activities and daily observations into their HiMama
account on classroom iPads
Provide frequent and
positive communication with families
through regular verbal and written contact
Work in collaboration with fellow kids ko. team members to ensure the
children and their caregivers receive quality programming and care
Exemplify positivity and face challenges with a solution focused mindset
Advise kids ko. leadership of pertinent information concerning children and
their families
Advocate for the policies, procedures and philosophy of kids ko.

**Working Conditions**:
Childcare Centre: clean and naturally lit workplace environment
We expect our educators to be:
Available to work Monday-Friday between 6am-6pm and holidays
when necessary
Available to work mínimal over-time in emergency situations where
caregivers may be late
Always alert, responsive and cautious.
- Constantly moving, standing, walking, bending, stooping, running
and lifting.
- Able to legally work in Canada
Our educators can expect to be outdoors a minimum of 2 play times:
weather permitting.
**Required Training and Experience**:
1-2+ years experience working in a childcare centre or an early childhood
education environment.
Strong understanding of stages of childhood development
Experience working with special needs children in a classroom setting is
considered a strong asset
**Required licenses, certificates and registrations**:
ECE diploma or equivalent. Registered with the College of Early
Childhood Educators and in Good Standing. (Not required but a strong
asset)
Standard First Aid and CPR/AED Level C (required)
Record of immunizations (required)& Covid 19 Vaccine
Vulnerable Sector Screening (required)
Ability to pass a background check (required)
**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
**Salary**: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
