We require an experienced individual immediately to direct and motivate up to 20 unionized maintenance staff composed of multi-disciplined trades. A strong focus on our safety program is paramount in supporting the Production department to produce a consistent quality product for our customers.

Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, you will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Supervisor in a manufacturing setting, preferably for a Wood Products operation, and a proven record of providing administrative, supervisory and technical leadership. This role will identify and develop opportunities for improvement by interacting with all levels of the Company and then ensuring the safe and efficient implementation of plans and processes in the active workplace.

To support this goal, all applicants must have good trouble shooting skills, good knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, servo motors, encoders, etc, good written and oral communication skills, strong computer literacy, and the ability to read plans and schematics. A Trades qualification is a definite asset. This position will also have oversight and charge of outside Contractors as required.
