**JOB DESCRIPTION: Location Manager**
Budget Rent A Car is looking for a full-time Location Manager for our Calgary location. As a Location Manager, you will have the opportunity to be part of a diverse team with an excellent company culture. In our hands-on learning environment, you will receive the guidance, mentoring, and support you need to be successful.
**Position Responsibilities include**:
**OPERATIONAL**:
- Perform Customer Service Agent duties.
- Coach and support Customer Service and Sales Representative's to maintain or exceed standards of performance as outlined in their respective job descriptions and their personal sales goals.
- Ensure professional image of property, staff uniforms and vehicles through maintenance and cleaning.
- Staffing of location including scheduling and hiring & termination.
- Monitor employee performance, conduct performance reviews and implement disciplinary action as necessary.
- Liaise with the Training & Development Manager and assist with training/coaching and development of employees and the establishment of individual goals.
- Communicate and introduce all company polices, programs and concerns.
- Maintain security and condition of company assets including building, vehicle inventory, equipment, cash, receipts and documents.
- Conduct weekly reviews of all Customer Service and Sales Representative’s as well as vehicle spot-check inspections to ensure consistency with company standards.
- Plan and schedule local staff meetings as required and communicate all internal information, including Memorandums.
- Ensure all location reporting and daily business is completed in an accurate manner.
- Monitor on day-to-day basis all overdue vehicles and communicate with the Distribution Department to minimize Budget’s risk.
- Liaise with other locations to help with fleet activity including in and out of fleet, vehicle movement from city to city and location to location.
**BUSINESS MANAGEMENT & LOCATION PROFITABILITY**:
- Under the direction of the General Manager, develop forecasts for controllable expenses and vehicle requirements.
- Increase market share, solicit new business.
- Assist in accounts receivable collection.
- Meet or exceed projected revenue objectives.
- Meet or exceed incremental sales objectives.
- Ensure personnel costs are controlled and consistent with current business levels.
- Ensure all other controllable expenses fall within current business levels.
- Maintain or exceed planned vehicle utilization (80%) for the location.
- Submit regular Weekly Management reports.
- Attend and participate in all scheduled management meetings as may be required from time to time.
**CUSTOMER SERVICE**:
- Consistently deliver a level of service that meets/exceeds customer expectations and standards as defined by the company.
- Recommend and develop plans to improve the delivery of service to customers.
- Resolve customer complaints within the authority as determined by the General Manager and efforts should be made that every customer leaves the location satisfied.
- Ensure all internal communications regarding accidents, claims, distribution, human resources, are executed in a timely manner.
**Your Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree is a plus
- Must have a minimum of 5 years previous experience in sales, management. Experience in car rental, hospitality, or tourism is a plus. Demonstrated ability to direct and motivate teams, as well as identify and grow talent.
- Must have a valid driver's license with no more than 2 moving violations and/or at fault accidents in the past 3 years.
- No drug or alcohol related convictions on Driving Record within the past 5 years (i.e. DUI/DWI).
- Must be authorized to work in Canada and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
- Must be able to work outside in all types of weather around vehicles.
