Under the general direction of the Project Management Office, the Project Management Consultant is responsible for ensuring the strong execution, management and reporting of medium to large projects/initiatives in alignment with organizational, portfolio/program, and ministry priorities. The Project Management Consultant leads initiatives from design and implementation through to evaluation and close-out; educating, mentoring and supporting the hospital?s departments/programs in project delivery principles and practices; establishing and cultivating relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels in order to support the delivery of key corporate and portfolio priorities; and promoting and implementing change management and innovation to support the delivery of key project priorities. The Project Management Consultant is expected to support senior leadership and their teams in delivering shared accountabilities and provide strong management of medium to large, complex, organization-wide or portfolio projects across the project lifecycle, including progress and outcome reporting. The role is responsible for identifying all internal and external resources required to complete projects successfully and providing coaching and guidance to team members about every aspect of the project so that team members can understand their tasks fully and act on them efficiently.

**Rate of Pay**: $46.79 per hour - $58.48 per hour

**Hours of Work**: 37.5 hours per week

**Location**: Hybrid

**Qualifications**:

- Undergraduate Degree in Engineering, Science, Statistics. or a Health related discipline; Master's Degree _preferred_
- Project Management Certification and LEAN/Six Sigma green belt/black belt preferred
- Minimum five (5) years recent, related job experience
- Exemplary written and verbal communication skills
- Proven resource planning, performance measurement and evaluation skills
- Process improvement and business design experience
- Excellent critical thinking, decision-making, consensus building and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of and experience with different project management frameworks, including waterfall and agile
- Change management and project management skills including financial management
- Demonstrated ability to identify and manage risk
- Effective interpersonal skills with ability to build collaborative partnerships
- Knowledge of local and regional health care system with health care project experience
- Excellent facilitation and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities
- Ability to deal effectively with ambiguity
- Demonstrated strategic and systems thinking skills
- Demonstrated commitment to professional growth and development
- Demonstrated practice and commitment to the principles of patient and family centered care
- Demonstrated practice and commitment to patient and staff safety at LHSC
