Construction Project Manager

The Project Manager will collaborate closely with the Director of Construction, overseeing the day-to-day operations of assigned projects, responsible for organizing and communicating details with project stakeholders, leading projects in terms of design development, construction management, site progress, documentation, schedules, and budgets. The role requires the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously to ensure they stay on schedule and within budget.
- **Responsibilities**:_
- Involve in Design development stage and lead consultants to manage design deliverables, permit submissions, and coordination with utilities and municipalities.
- Lead and oversee construction projects, managing teams of site supervisors, subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers.
- Plan, create, and maintain construction schedules and budgets throughout the project durations.
- Utilize scheduling software to update schedules, track progress, and document project progression.
- Manage the tenders process and review any scope gaps.
- Prepare project updates and reports.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and national building codes, regulations, and safety precautions.
- Monitor project progress, resolve issues, and eliminate blockers.
- Review contracts and terms of agreements.
- Ensure standards and requirements are met through the design and construction phases.
- Create and follow up on punch lists and project closing documents.
- Assist with strategies, risks, and opportunities analysis.
- Conduct research, obtain cost data, and assist in data analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and cost
- **Qualifications, Experience, and Skills**:_
- Post-Secondary Degree/Diploma in Construction/Engineering/Project Management or a related field.
- 8-10 years of construction experience, preferably with a general contractor.
- 1-3 years of experience working as an Assistant/Project Manager or in a similar role.
- Experienced in commercial/residential buildings **in Canada.**:

- Experience with residential high-rise buildings is an asset.
- Proficiency in reading and understanding construction drawings across multiple disciplines, including architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical.
- Ability to prepare and interpret flowcharts, schedules, and action plans.
- Proficient in Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, Word, Excel, and Google Apps.
- Hands-on experience with project management tools.
- Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet stringent deadlines.
- Understanding of project dynamics, requirements, and cost-influencing variables..
- Strong organizational skills, including multitasking and time management.
