Wiens Furniture is currently looking for a Sales Manager

**Overview**
Wiens is a family owned and operated furniture, appliance, and mattress retail store located 20 minutes South of Winnipeg, in the thriving town of Niverville. The Wiens family started their humble operations in 1939, and four generations later, are now a leader in the furniture, appliance, and mattress retail market for Winnipeg and Southern Manitoba.

**Responsibilities**
- Manage sales team through recruiting, selecting, training, and retaining
- Manage sales team scheduling
- Provide sales staff with mentoring and feedback
- Establish sales and gross profit objectives and develop plans to meet those objectives
- Partner with marketing to develop and implement initiatives
- Report to management on product offering, market opportunities, and sales operations
- Manage inventory levels for stocked items
- Be able to step in and sell when the floor is busy or staff are on vacation
- Be involved in strategic planning and forecasting

**Objectives**
- Maintain an environment where sales staff want to stay and can thrive in their career
- Work to create a positive customer experience and overall brand for Wiens Furniture
- Actively support the strategic growth of Wiens

**Qualifications & Skills**
- Working knowledge of business and management
- Strong analytical skills
- Sales and/or retail experience
- Able to work retail hours, eg. Saturdays, evenings and other shifts as required
- Management experience, or demonstrated ability to communicate and lead
- Industry specific experience an asset
- Be organized, pro-active, and efficient

**Compensation**
- Compensation is comprised of a base salary and bonus
- Reasonable expectations for earnings would be between $70,000 and $100,000, but could be higher
