**Gap Communications Fibre Optic Splicer**

Journeyman Splicer

**Job Overview**: We are currently looking for splicers to join our team with experience in, fibre splicing, fibre optic testing. As well as cable maintenance and repair work.

**Responsibilities and Duties**:

- Must be proficient in fibre splicing
- Must be able to troubleshoot and analyze basic technical problems or issues.
- Must have extensive knowledge of cable systems and prints/drawings
- Must be able to work out of a bucket
- Must be able to understand prints
- Must be able to maintain a safe work environment and follow company safety rules and procedures

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum 3-year experience as a telecommunications splicer
- Clean drivers abstract
- Physically able to complete duties
- Must be eligible to work in Canada

**Location**:Burnaby, BC

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $36.00-$38.00 per hour

**Benefits**:

- Extended health care

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay
