**The Opportunity**

Leavitt Machinery is recruiting for a **Field Service Technician** to join our team in **Calgary Alberta**. As the Field Service Technician, you will be conducting maintenance checks and diagnosing repairs for lift trucks at customer sites.

**Essential Duties & Responsibilities**

As the Field Service Technician your key responsibilities will include:

- Examine overall operational integrity and condition of trucks
- Find defective mechanical or electrical parts; communicate and execute next steps for repair solutions to customers
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance
- Diagnose and order parts according to technical manuals
- Document and analyze breakdowns based on standard procedures

**Required Skills & Qualifications**
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Mechanical Technician or equivalent experience
- Automotive Certification (310S) or Heavy Duty Technician Certification (421A) an asset
- Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems of battery and engine powered material handling equipment
- Knowledge of hand tools and measuring devices, and the use of electrical/electronic diagnostic
- Experience with industrial equipment that involves lifting / rigging, maintaining, dismantling, and installing machinery and industrial mechanical service equipment
- Experience aligning above equipment, using dial indicators/calipers, micrometers, hoists or jacks is a plus
- Ability to interpret and implement technical procedures
- Solid knowledge of general Lock-out/Tag-out procedures
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Customer service oriented
- Effective analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to be flexible and work in a fast paced and changing environment
- Valid driver’s license required

Pay: $46.00-$54.00 per hour
