**Overview**

**Duties**
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
- Create a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Assess children's progress and adapt teaching methods to meet individual needs.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's development and classroom activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the educational experience for all students.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and classroom activities.
- Support children with special needs and disabilities through tailored educational strategies.
- Foster bilingual communication skills by incorporating English and French into daily activities when applicable.
- Utilize computer skills for administrative tasks, lesson planning, and communication.

**Qualifications**
- certificate or diploma in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred.
- Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable sector
- Valid 1st Aid
- Experience working with children in a childcare or educational setting is essential.
- Strong understanding of child development principles and early childhood education practices.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with children, parents, and staff.
- Strong organizational skills to manage classroom activities and maintain records efficiently.
- Leadership qualities to guide children in their learning journey while promoting teamwork among staff members.
- Time management skills to balance multiple tasks effectively within the classroom environment.

Pay: $17.75-$28.53 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Lethbridge, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Childcare: 2 years (preferred)

**Language**:

- Fluent in spoken and written English (required)

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid Certification (required)
- Criminal record check (required)
