**Overview**
We are seeking a Deli Clerk to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers while preparing and serving high-quality deli products. You will play a crucial part in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the deli area, ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
**Duties**
- Prepare a variety of deli items, including sandwiches, salads, and other food products according to established recipes and standards.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and answering questions about menu items.
- Handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining proper cash handling procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the deli area, ensuring it meets sanitation standards.
- Monitor food safety practices to ensure all products are stored and prepared safely.
**Requirements**:
- Previous experience in food service or a related role is preferred.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and making change accurately.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations is essential.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
- Experience with cashiering is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
