Position Title: ECD (Early Childhood Development)
Kid Space Montessori ELCC management hires **Early Childhood Educator - Level 2 or 3 Certification.**
1. Current Standard First Aid and infant child CPR
2. A current Criminal Check & Vulnerable Sector screening
Responsibilities: Use skills learned to implement programming and safe practice and to provide safe childcare at the facility.
- The ability to maintain confidentiality always
- Experience in planning and implementing programs
- Recognize and accept each child’s individuality and developmental level.
- To provide general care for the children by assisting in the coordination and involvement in their daily routine and activities.
- To actively participate in planning session and staff meetings to develop and implement appropriate developmental programs and activities for the children.
- To actively participate as a team member in the workshops, training, meetings etc.
- To maintain an awareness of changing emotional, social and physical states of children and to provide appropriate support.
- To communicate with families about their child’s learning and growth and development, encourage families to share information about their children.
- To assist in creating a safe and inviting physical environment including an ongoing evaluation and restructuring of the playroom
- To assist the daycare Director in ensuring the ongoing maintenance of the equipment, supplies and materials
- To respond appropriately to parent’s request including referring to the correct staff, providing documentation, and acting in a respectful manner.
- To assist in providing a positive learning experience for children by acting as a positive role model.
- To act as a resource person to the children and facilitate the development of children. -To willingly perform duties (as applicable to the job), in a timely fashion when assigned by the Director.
- To be responsible for keeping track of hours in an orderly manner.
- To know the policies and procedures surrounding the daycare facility and to implement them consistently.
- Communicate openly with families on a daily basis. They are also required to communicate with families about their child’s learning and growth and development and encourage families to share information about their children.
