We work with individuals in the city of Red Deer and area, with our office located in Red Deer. Etana continues to grow with respect to the number of individuals supported and personnel and are adaptive with our services to meet the needs of each individual.

We are recruiting a full-time _**Direct Support Worker**_ to provide residential support for individuals in Red Deer. **This position requires working overnight awake shifts Sunday to Thursday 11 pm to 7 am.**

You will confidently provide direct individualized support to adults with developmental disabilities will complete your duties ensuring that services provided are of the maximum possible benefit to the personal growth, independence and increased social inclusion of individual(s). You will also ensure that services are operated in accordance with standards as set out by Etana, Disability Services and C.A.R.F Accreditation Standards.

You will confidently provide direct individualized support to adults with developmental disabilities across multiple environments and will complete your duties ensuring that services provided are of the maximum possible benefit to the personal growth, independence and increased social inclusion of individual(s). You will also ensure that services are operated in accordance with standards as set out by Etana, Disability Services and C.A.R.F Accreditation Standards.

**This is a permanent fulltime position with excellent benefits and paid sick days.**

**Minimum Requirements**
- High School Diploma or Mature Status
- Class 5 Driver's License, reliable vehicle and valid insurance
- 2 years Experience in Human Service Field
- Emergency First Aid CPR / AED
- Acceptable Vulnerable Sector Police Check
- Experience with personal care

**REQUIRED TRAINING** ( this _training is available through Etana)_
- Abuse Protocol/ Protection of Persons in Care Act.
- SIVA (Supporting Individuals through Valued Attachments) name change
- Medication Administration
- Food Safe
- Rights, Roles & Responsibilities

**Salary**: Up to $20.22 per hour
